FAQ Schema (JSON-LD) & Markdown Generator

Enter the questions and answers of an FAQ and get schema.org FAQPage JSON-LD, the same content as Markdown, and HTML (details/summary) to paste into the page — all at once. Line breaks and links in answers are rewritten correctly for each format, and Japanese quotation marks and full-width symbols stay intact. Input is handled only in this browser; nothing is saved or sent.

1 — Questions and answers

In answers, a blank line starts a new paragraph and a single line break stays a line break. [text](https://…) and bare https://… become links, and lines starting with - or 1. become lists in all three formats.

Paste several at once

Lines starting with “Q:” and “A:” (also Q1. or Question:/Answer: in Japanese), or ## headings, are read as questions. An answer runs until the next question.

    How to Use

    1. Enter questions and answersType them one by one, or paste a “Q: / A:” list or a Markdown FAQ in one go. Reorder with ↑ and ↓.
    2. Choose the outputSet the heading and its level, and whether answers in JSON-LD use HTML or plain text.
    3. Copy the three formatsPut the JSON-LD in the page <head> or body, the HTML where the FAQ should appear, and the Markdown in your article draft or notes for an AI.

    About This Tool

One FAQ, three formats at once: structured data, Markdown and HTML. When you build a site FAQ, the JSON-LD for search engines and AI, the HTML shown on the page and the Markdown used in drafts or internal notes are usually written separately — and sooner or later one of them falls out of date. Here all three come from the same input, so an edit is made in one place.

Line breaks, links and symbols. The answer text in JSON-LD (acceptedAnswer text) is a schema.org field that allows HTML. Line breaks become <br>, paragraphs <p>, links <a> and lists <ul>/<ol>; a one-line answer is written without tags. Quotes, backslashes and line breaks are escaped the JSON way, and an answer containing </script> or <!-- cannot end the script element early. Japanese quotation marks such as 「」 and “”, full-width symbols and emoji are kept as they are rather than turned into \u escapes. In Markdown, characters that would start formatting (*, _, # and so on) get a \ in front, and a line break inside a paragraph becomes a trailing \ (a CommonMark hard line break).

Which links are kept. Only https://, http://, mailto:, tel: and on-site links starting with / or # become links. Targets such as javascript: stay as plain text, with a warning. JSON-LD can be read away from the page, so full https:// URLs are the safer choice even for your own pages.

How Google Search treats it. Since May 2026 Google Search no longer shows FAQ rich results (questions listed as expandable rows in the results). Adding the JSON-LD will not change how your result looks in Google, but writing FAQPage structured data is still fine. It clearly marks the question-and-answer pairs for other search engines and tools that read the page.

Nothing is saved or sent. Generation and copying happen only in this browser. The input is not sent to a server and not stored on your device (no localStorage). It is gone when you close the page, so copy or save what you need. There is no AI answer writing.
